Sage Queen Garden
Pueblo, CO
About
This Open Day is presented in partnership with Keep Pueblo Beautiful.
Sage Queen Garden is 10 years in the making and is a mix of water-wise pollinator plants, food forest and vegetable garden. I am working to make my yard as useful as possible, either growing food for my family or providing habitat to native species. On our .14 acres I have 17 fruit trees, raised vegetable beds, a berry patch, 10 chickens, a monarch way station, lawn turned cover crops and over 1,000 flowering bulbs.
Garden Extras: The Garden Host will have a monarch-rearing exhibit with caterpillars, chrysalides, and (hopefully) butterflies.
This garden’s estimated size is .14 acres.
2025 Open Day: Saturday, June 21
Hours: 10-4
Please Note: This garden's Open Day moved from Saturday, May 17 to Saturday, June 21 after the publication of the 2025 Open Days Directory.
