About

Sage Queen is a celebration of pollinators. Our approximately 1,200-square-foot perennial garden features drought tolerant, ultra hardy flowering plants that provide habitat as well as beauty.

Meadow sage features prominently throughout the garden and is the inspiration for our name. You’ll also see a variety of homegrown penstemon that we are especially fond of. Our front yard orchard, berry patch and vegetable beds provide even more forage for the bees and an abundance of produce. Backyard chickens recycle any food waste into beautiful fresh eggs and fertilizer.

Come see how many different species you can spot on our milkweed! We are a registered monarch waystation, and we raise a variety of black swallowtail host plants too.

This garden’s estimated size is .17 acre.
