The Garden Conservancy Preservation Partner Garden

About

This isn’t a rich person’s garden. She had a budget for each season, and whatever she added had to fit inside it. It took more than thirty years to add one piece at a time, one garden at a time; from the Oscar Wilde Garden with its Hydrangeas, The Secret Garden with an apple espalier, to Emily Dickinson’s “I am Nobody Who are You” poem Bog Garden where Cat Tails, Lilies and Swamp Milkweed like to get their feet wet, The Signature of all Things at Alma’s MOSS GARDEN.

The Alice in Wonderland Matt Hatter and its wandering “HARE,” The Prayer Garden, Jekyll and Hyde’s Gertrude Garden, and THE ROCK GARDEN EST. in 1989, to name

a few.

One woman worked to create this garden. She shoveled every inch of earth, moved every stone, and created every garden. The process fueled her spirit, and she relished every moment of it.

She is, I am Karen Marie Vetrano/Medeiros, M.Ed., Literacy Educator, Gardener.

This garden's estimated size is .5 acres.

This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: This garden features stepping stones.
