The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College
Swarthmore, PA
The Scott Arboretum, the campus of Swarthmore College, offers over 400 acres of gardens and natural areas and over 4,000 taxa of ornamental plants displayed on a small liberal arts college campus. Highlights include the Scott Outdoor Amphitheater, designed by Thomas Sears, the Dean Bond Rose Garden, and Terry Shane Teaching Garden. Our aim is to showcase good performing ornamentals in designs to educate homeowners, but in so doing, we also create an inspiring environment for the college community. Notable woody collections include hollies, magnolias and oaks.
