Welcome to Trelowarth ( "Home and Garden" in Cornish). The shrub valley, dry garden, and terraces greet you as you walk through the gate of this eight-year-old garden. Paniculata and oakleaf hydrangeas along with many fuchsias provide a colorful border. The view from the left side of the greenhouse shows the garden's dry slopes wild side, and Pinetum. Looking to the right reveals the four terraces filled with pollinator-friendly mix of shrubs, perennials, and grasses. Enjoy Trelowarth from a distance, or stroll the paths and terraces for a closer look. Pass the large summer border and vegetable beds as you meander up to the house, then the white garden is peaceful with the sound of the rill water feature accompanying your walk. The upper greenhouse is new. Take a moment, and walk onto the front deck to soak in the view of Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. This two-acre garden benefits from the propagation and greenhouse support of many unique plantings able to thrive and survive in our ever-changing climatic conditions.
