About
The gardens at Rambleside, the bucolic Weston, CT, estate built by famed musical conductor Fritz Reiner in the 1930s, are marked by a varied repertoire of garden movements. The property’s current owners were longtime New Yorkers who, captivated by the property’s heirloom trees, expansive lawns, and natural water features, determined to enhance the estate’s natural beauty to bring it in tune with its full potential. Novice gardeners themselves, the couple embarked on this journey three years ago, relying on a local team of experts and using Storm King’s thoughtful juxtaposition of art and landscape in grand scale. Come explore the property’s eight acres, waltzing past the charming stone house with its English rose and peony gardens, monumental sculpture, and sweeping lawns. Meander along the wildflower meadow paths, continuing along the babbling brook’s stream, and enjoy the happy family-centric vegetable and pool gardens. Come learn more from the owners and share your own knowledge about gardening on an outsized scale.
This garden’s estimated size is 8 acres.
