Pacifica Collector's Garden
Pacifica, CA
About
Matt and Annie moved to Pacifica in 2017 in order to create a garden for their ever expanding Agave, Aloe, Yucca, and Aeonium collections. In their 5,000-square-foot lot they’ve built raised beds with recycled urbanite between winding decomposed granite pathways, and planted a huge variety of drought-tolerant, xeric, rare, and unusual plants like Cussonia, Dasylirion, Trevisia, Dendroseris, bromeliads, palms, cacti, tree ferns, and seed-grown Aloe polyphylla.
Their sustainable, low-water landscape design business, Xeric Oasis, is run from their home, and as a result the garden features an ever-changing cast of new plants and interesting cultivars, as well as plants for sale.
This garden’s estimated size is 5,000 sq. ft.
This Garden Host reports the following Terrain Notes about the garden: This garden is flat, but some of the paths are narrow and many plants are spiky so caution is required.
