A beautiful property on Miller Bay became a gardener's paradise. A stream runs through the property with two natural ponds with lots of wildlife including a resident Blue Heron. Old apple trees shade the house and chapel and a koi pond is situated near the house with a Mediterranean garden on one side, a rose garden on the other, and a tropical garden behind it. As you walk through the tropical garden the path opens out into an all-season grass garden (featured in Fine Gardening Magazine in 2024). Crossing the driveway by the upper pond is a white garden and a yellow garden with lots of yellow-needled conifers. Behind these is a small wildflower meadow that covers snowdrops after they bloom in winter. The path leads down to a bridge across the stream and up to the shade garden. Magnolias, species rhododendrons, dogwood and more rare plants here, the definition of a 'stuffed' garden. Behind the garage is a rustic greenhouse and steps up to a raised bed vegetable garden with espalier fruit trees and berries. The grassy area behind has a spring bulb meadow under the white birch trees.
