Trained in architecture and interior design in his native Panama, Fernando Wong turned to landscape design after moving to the United States in 2001, and along with his partner, Tim Johnson, founded Fernando Wong Outdoor Living Design in 2005. All the projects featured here are located in tropical climes, including Miami, Palm Beach, and Lyford Cay on Nassau. With a foreword by Martha Stewart and commentary by noted interior designers including David Netto, Miles Redd, and Amanda Lindroth, who decorated some of the homes for which Wong created the gardens, this book provides gardeners and garden lovers everywhere with fresh inspiration.

About the Speakers

FERNANDO WONG has been called “one of the best landscape designers in the world” by the Chelsea Design Centre in London and “one of the most influential landscape designers in America” by ELLE Decor. His television series Clipped with Martha Stewart can be streamed on HGTV and Discovery+, and his work has been featured on The Today Show as well as in leading design publications worldwide. Beyond his acclaimed residential projects, his award-winning landscapes have been showcased at the Chelsea Flower Show, multiple Four Seasons resorts, and the Lyford Cay Club. He founded his eponymous firm with his partner Tim Johnson in 2005.

TIM JOHNSON is CEO of Fernando Wong Outdoor Living Design. In addition to residential projects around the world, commercial designs include the Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club in Miami, the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach, the Four Seasons Private Residences in Fort Lauderdale, the Gasparilla Inn & Beach Club in Boca Grande, the Seminole Golf Club, the Starwood Luxury Collection Bardo and Mansion Hotels in Savannah, the Lyford Cay Club, and a national park for the Bahamian government.
