Saturday, July 19 Open Day at The Lim Garden

The Lim Garden is a serene, private, 1-acre residential garden and micro-nursery nestled in the Cottage Lake area of Woodinville, WA. Specializing in collectible rare and uncommonly seen plants, it also features a diverse selection of species that thrive in woodland shade and the understory. Established during an immersive horticultural journey in 2017, The Lim Garden emerged from a newfound passion for plants and the desire to create a personal sanctuary. By 2022, propagation efforts blossomed into the creation of a dedicated nursery. Today, the garden showcases over 2,500 species and cultivars, striking a harmonious balance between aesthetic beauty and botanical intrigue. With an emphasis on rare gems and newly debuted plants, The Lim Garden captivates visitors with its rich foliage, diverse forms, and a healthy, natural density. It serves as an inspiring demonstration of planting possibilities beneath the towering firs and cedars of the Pacific Northwest. My gardening journey has been transformative, mirroring the rapid evolution of the garden itself. Through seven years of dedicated labor, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and an appreciation for the physical challenges of cultivating such a vibrant space.
