Animals and Botanicals at the Morgan Library
Join Janet Mavec, author of Bird Haven Farm: The Story of an Original American Garden and a passionate collector of drawings, for a conversation with curator Jennifer Tonkovich held among original drawings in the Morgan Library & Museum's Drawing Study Center. In this intimate space, we will look closely at artists' depictions of flora and fauna from the Renaissance to the present, including works by Jacopo Ligozzi, Annibale Carracci, Rembrandt, Jacob van Ruisdael, Mark Catesby, Paul Cezanne, John James Audubon, and more. The program includes lunch and admission to the Morgan Library & Museum.
The program will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The presentation is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Drawing Study Center. There is the option of viewing the Renoir Drawings exhibition from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, when lunch will be served in the Morgan Café.
