Manitoga - The Russel Wright Design Center

Garrison, NY

A premier example of carefully designed naturalistic landscaping, industrial designer Russel Wright's woodland garden invites active participation with 3 miles of paths and links to the Appalachian Trail. This designed landscape abounds with native trees, ferns, mosses, and wildflowers and is meant not just to be seen but to be experienced. The seventy-five acre site, including Wright's Dragon Rock House and Studio, is a National Historic Landmark.
