Pam Bottaro's Garden
Sun, Jul 11, 2021
11:30 AM- 1:00 PM
At the request of the host, this program has been canceled. Pam was not able to raise monarchs this year, and that was to have been the program's focus.
Discover the joy of creating sustainable, chemical free, wildlife-friendly landscapes with Pam Bottaro, landscape designer and gardener, and Sheri Powell of Compost Teana’s Organic Landscapes, LLC.
Pam has combined Mediterranean and California native plants in a residential garden to attract diverse and surprising wildlife. Learn all about the beneficial insects you need in your garden. See first-hand how to find monarch butterfly eggs, protect them through their larval stage in indoor habitats, and eventually set them free.
Soil biology is important to the health of your plants. Sheri will also explain how damaged soil affects your plants and various methods you can implement to foster healthy soil. The discussion will focus on specific ways to improve soil fertility to help your plants to thrive without harmful chemicals.
