Digging Deeper: Designing for the Future with Cues from the Past - SOLD OUT
Leslie & John Needham—River Hills
Sat, Jun 12, 2021
4:00 PM- 6:00 PM
Creating a garden on a blank slate can be both a gift and a challenge. Landscape designer Leslie Needham will welcome guests into her garden to share how she works to accommodate the present-day needs and interests of her family, while celebrating a site with a rich natural and cultural history.
Over the past decade, Leslie and her husband, John, have worked to restore their 1780s house and property to achieve thoroughly modern goals: blending the house and gardens into the larger environmental context and creating an enticing indoor/outdoor relationship, and doing all of this in an environmentally sensitive manner with a seemingly light touch.
Explore River Hills with Leslie and John while enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres and finding inspiration for your own property and gardens.
