Garden of Jeffrey A. Steele
Ashley Falls, MA
Meadow, Rare plants/plant collection, Scenic view
The garden has been created over the last twenty-five years, with many changes along the way, to complement a small Greek Revival house. No master plan was ever drawn, the garden (all self-maintained) evolving according to whim, available time, and, of course, funds. The intent was to make an attractive and interesting garden to be in and wander through, with views and focal points throughout and from the house. The result is a series of seven connected circles, with both formal and informal side gardens of favorite plants, particularly hostas and daffodils.
This garden's estimated size is 2½ acres.
